About This Project

In my “Portrait of Self, 2021”, I tried to emulate my face on paper. My main goal with this piece was to create correct proportions on the face and to promote Realism. I used elements such as space, value, line, and texture to accomplish this. In the face, the lips twist and hold onto the pencil, adding a bit of interest in the piece. Overall, I’m content with how it turned out, especially the hair texture.
