Afternoon Snack (Imprimatura)

Spring 2021 Fine Arts Exhibit
oil painting of an orange, apple, and a cup

About This Project

This piece was created from a still life and used the Imprimatura and Grisaille painting techniques. As a finishing layer, I opaqued the light highlights and glazed the dark shadows of the painting. This took several class periods to complete and was an exciting learning experience that I would like to apply for future paintings.
