Marketing & Communication Printing Services

Printing Services

Beginning August 13, our campus will transition all color and large-format printing, lamination and cutting services to external vendors. This change includes services such as 8.5 x11 or 11×17 color printing, research posters, large event posters, banners, and inserts for A-frame event signs.

This transition is part of broader adjustments to our operations. While on-campus production will no longer be available, our Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) team will continue to support your projects by ensuring they meet WSU brand standards and by helping you connect with trusted printing partners.

We are looking to find a way to resume on-campus color printing for 8.5×11 and 11×17 requests but don’t have a definitive solution at this time.

Files must be approved by MARCOM before sending or taking to a printer.

How printing will work going forward

Projects designed by MARCOM

After completing the design work for your project, MARCOM will coordinate directly with an external printer for the printing portion of the project.

  1. We will obtain a quote so you can complete a purchase request.
  2. Once designs are approved, MARCOM will submit the files on your behalf.
  3. You will be notified by email from the print vendor when prints are ready and will receive an e-invoice.

Projects not designed by MARCOM

  1. Submit print-ready files to MARCOM (tricities.printing@wsu.edu) for brand review.
  2. If approved, you will send or deliver the files to the printer for a quote and production (you will need a purchase request).
  3. If changes are needed, MARCOM will either make simple adjustments or provide guidance so you can update the file and resubmit for approval.
  4. Pay the provided print invoice with a P-card.

Recommended printing partners

Since printing is now outsourced, please plan for a minimum two-week lead time when possible, as same-day service may not be available. If same day service is needed, MARCOM can recommend a vendor with walk-in or self-service printing options.

Thank you for your understanding as we make this transition. Our goal is to ensure your materials continue to reflect WSU’s quality and brand standards while supporting you in getting the resources you need. If you have questions or concerns, please contact leslie.streeter@wsu.edu.
