Entrepreneurial Internship Program

Cougs INNOVATE

A new internship program geared toward allowing you to be a student entrepreneur.

Selected students will be matched with employers and/or opportunities to bring ideas to life to meet real organizational and client needs, or have the opportunity to pitch and lead an idea of their own.

Program Overview

Student Application Process

Through the WSU Tri-Cities Entrepreneurial Career Preparation & Internship program, selected students will be matched with entrepreneurial employers, alumni or community constituents and provided with hands-on opportunities to lead, pitch and/or meet real organizational needs.

Students interested in the program will submit a Cougs Innovate application online, where they will be reviewed by WSU Tri-Cities Career Services staff
and selected accordingly. Once selected, students earn minimum wage on an hourly basis and are placed with a mentor and/or advisor based on compatible entrepreneurial interests.

Entrepreneur Mentor or Advisor Opportunities

Interested in becoming a WSU Tri-Cities Entrepreneurial Career Preparation & Internship Program mentor or advisor?

Students are required to meet with their mentor or advisor at least three times asemester and give a presentation about their project to their mentor, advisor and Career Services representatives at the conclusion of the internship.
