Why WSU Tri-Cities

WSU Tri-Cities received the 2024 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award, which honors universities that encourage and assist students from underrepresented groups to enter STEM fields.
Thanks to financial aid, grants, scholarships and loans, half of WSU Tri-Cities students earning a bachelor’s degree pay zero out-of-pocket expenses for tuition.
Over 50% of WSU Tri-Cities students come from diverse backgrounds, and half of our students are first in their family to attend college.

Growing up in Warden, Washington, a small farming community of about 2,500 people, the dream of working for NASA might have seemed far-fetched. Yet, for Washington State University Tri-Cities alumnus Benjamin Tomlinson, it became a reality.
