Outstanding Adjunct Business Faculty Award

Endowed with a donation from former Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, Peter Smith, who recognized the importance of adjunct faculty to our campus, the WSU Tri-Cities Outstanding Adjunct Business Faculty Award will recognize an adjunct faculty who exemplifies high quality of teaching in finance, accounting, math, and other business-related academic programming. The recipient will receive a personalized gift and monetary award.

Eligibility

  • Teaching faculty with an FTE less than 100% and have worked in industry, with a preference toward those who are currently or have recently worked in industry.

Nominations

  • End of semester student evaluations will be used to identify the best adjunct faculty within the academic year. The awardee is selected by the WSU Tri-Cities Carson College of Business Academic Director

Nominations are Open

We seek nominations from a variety of WSUTC sources who might have unique insights into excellent teaching. Anyone can nominate an excellent teacher, including students, faculty, staff, supervisors, and academic directors. We also welcome self-nominations!

Applications Open Soon

Because assessment is an essential aspect of measuring excellence, to qualify for this award, faculty must show evidence for their respective criteria. At least one peer teaching observation and data from BlueCourse evaluations are required, along with one additional category of evidence.
