Three steps to graduate and celebrate!

In order to properly participate in the commencement ceremony, you must complete the three steps below. Do note that you do not have to complete each step in order. For instance, you can order regalia before you apply to graduate.

1. Apply for graduation

Apply for graduation through the Office of the Registrar or the Graduate School. Check out these instructions on how to apply for graduation as an undergraduate student or how to apply for graduation as a graduate student.

2. Register for the ceremony

You must register separately to participate in the Commencement ceremony.

3. Order regalia

It is expected that all graduates participating in the commencement ceremony be dressed in the appropriate regalia as provided by Herff Jones.

You do not have to complete steps 1 and 2 before ordering your regalia. Take advantage of cheaper regalia order pricing by ordering yours sooner.

Be advised that applying to graduate and registering for Commencement are two separate steps. Applying to graduate does not automatically register you to take part in the ceremony.
