New Coug Orientation – Tri-Cities

Welcome new Tri-Cities Cougs!

We are excited you have made the choice to join our family!

What is New Coug Orientation?

WSU Tri-Cities is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for students beginning their first year. New Coug Orientation is the beginning to a program that spans over the year to foster new student development and academic success.

In a collaboration between departments across campus, this first year program provides superior support services and programs throughout the first year that foster student engagement, persistence, completion of educational plans, and timely graduation.

Who is required to complete New Coug Orientation?

All incoming students are required to complete New Coug Orientation. All students are charged a mandatory $100 for New Coug Orientation.

First Year students are students who applied using the WSU First-Year Student Admissions Application for the academic year immediately after graduating from high school (even if you’re in Running Start or taking classes in high school for college credit) or you haven’t attended college since high school graduation.

Transfer students are anyone who applied using the Transfer Admissions Application or have attended an accredited college or university after your high school graduation.
