New Coug Orientation

Welcome to the Coug Community!

New Coug Orientation is excited to support you in your transition to the Cougar Family. Our staff are dedicated to assisting you with your orientation, transition, and ultimate attainment of a WSU degree. Orientation will prepare you for your social, academic, and emotional acclimation.

Orientation is a required on-campus program for all new first-year and transfer students. You’ll take part in different academic and student support sessions, view college and department presentations, and learn about student life. Students will meet their peer mentor assigned to them for their first semester. You will be a part of a group of other New Cougs guided by an orientation leader who is a current student and a peer mentor. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, make new friends, and fully immerse yourself in New Coug life.
