Dr. Jennifer Lodine-Chaffey: Making “Vile Things Precious”: King Lear and the Collapse of Civilization

October 11, 2018 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

In partnership with Mid-Columbia Libraries for the NEA Big Read Grant, this on-campus lecture by WSU Tri-Cities English faculty member, Dr. Jennifer Lodine-Chaffey, will feature Shakespeare’s “King Lear’s” story of loss–of lives, of relationships, and of sanity. Dr. Lodine-Chaffey will consider how characters in this well-known tragedy react to chaos and brokenness.

This event is open to the campus community and the general public.
