The 2018 UndocuQueer Conference will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the WSU Tri-Cities Student Union Building.
Please join us for this annual event that illuminates the intersections between LGBTQ+ identities and immigration status. The deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 8.
Armando Ibañez will be the keynote speaker at this year’s conference. Ibañez is a filmmaker and activist who is involved in the LGBTQ and immigrant rights movements. Currently, he is the director and writer of the online series “Undocumented Tales,” a story that follows the journey of a Mexican undocumented and queer server living in Los Angeles.
The UndocuQueer conference is sponsored by the WSU Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center (GIESORC), Multicultural Student Services, the Crimson Group, and the University of Washington’s Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center.
