2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Park Service system. Every national park across the country has or will be celebrating the centennial in their own unique way. The Department of Energy and the NPS have chosen the last week of September to celebrate the Park’s birthday at the recently established Manhattan Project National Historical Park—Hanford.
The Hanford History Project is partnering with the National Park Service to host a birthday celebration/fundraiser to benefit jointly the Hanford Friends of the Park and the Hanford History Project.
The event takes place Thursday, Sept 29th from 6:00-8:30 in the Ste. Michelle WSU Wine Science Center. Tickets are $60 and include hors d’oeuvres, Washington wine, entertainment, and a silent auction.
