Environmental justice activist, author, and MacArthur “genius” grant recipient Catherine Coleman Flowers reveals America’s “dirty secret” and one of the least discussed forms of inequality: access to water and sanitation. Throughout her 20 years of work on this issue, Flowers has gathered insights from people struggling with water and sanitation problems in nearly every part of the United States – including the Pacific and Inland Northwest.
Flowers will explain how, with research and ingenuity, we can make significant strides toward water and sanitation equity and ways people of any age can help achieve equitable and sustainable water and sanitation infrastructure.
