Panelists Robert Bauman, Robert Franklin, Laura Arata discuss racial segregation and resistance to discrimination in the Mid-Columbia region. Based on research and multiracial oral histories, the panel reveals the experiences of non-white groups such as Chinese immigrants, World War II Japanese incarcerates, and African American migrant workers from the South, whose lives were deeply impacted by the Hanford Site and who advocated for change.
