The Den

Promoting Student Wellbeing

The DEN Wellness Center seeks to promote holistic student wellbeing through the promotion of health and wellness outreach. We aspire to help students recognize the inherent connection between mental health, health, and wellness and the value that this knowledge holds in supporting their own wellbeing while on campus. In collaboration with the office of Counseling & Wellness, we strive to cultivate a supportive campus community experience by creating safe environments for students to explore and overcome challenges connected to life and learning through campus collaborations, partnerships, evidence-based practices and through a Systemic and Assets-based framework.

Campus Recreation Programming

Campus recreation programs provide students with fun and accessible ways to stay active, build community, and relieve stress. These programs often include informal pick-up games—like soccer, basketball, or volleyball—where students can drop in and play without a set roster, as well as more structured intramural sports leagues and tournaments for those who enjoy friendly competition. Open to all skill levels, campus recreation helps foster teamwork, wellness, and social connections outside the classroom.

Wellness Lounge

The Wellness Lounge is a calming, quiet space for relaxation and wellness where students can unwind, read, watch a quiet show, or meet with a friend.

Meditation Room

The Meditation Room is intended for quiet reflection, prayer, and wellness-based meditation.

Outdoor Rec Rentals

We offer a wide range of resources and outdoor equipment available for check-out that can be used to explore the great landscape of Eastern Washington. Stop by during the DEN hours of operation to begin your next adventure!

Virtual Resources

Campus Recreation Ambassadors

Campus Rec Ambassadors support student well-being by managing the Den Wellness Center’s fitness area, wellness lounge, and meditation room. They coordinate outdoor recreation rentals and lead recreation programs like intramural sports, while also planning events that promote health, wellness, and opportunities to stay active and engaged during the school day. Their goal is to create an inclusive, supportive space where students can reduce stress, build community, and prioritize their well-being.
