TRIO Tutoring Services

Position Description

• Provide tutorial and academic support for Student Support Services participants
• Assist in identifying problem-solving strategies
• Assist in identifying study-skill strategies
• Provide accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in training meetings
• Facilitate both small groups and/or one-on-one setting

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate students may be considered if they have faculty endorsement and approval by the TRIO Program Director (graduate students preferred).
• Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
• Written recommendation from faculty member in courses to be tutored
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
• Pleasant and professional demeanor
• A genuine desire to help other students
