Living in almost every quadrant of Washington State, Stassia is a true Washingtonian – from Seattle, to Spokane, Pullman, Tonasket, Yakima, and now the Tri-Cities, she brings different views to every situation. Stassia spent the last 5 years within TRIO, starting out as a Program Coordinator for the WSU TRIO Upward Bound that served high school students in Oroville and Tonasket. She spent the last two years as the director of a TRIO Upward Bound Math Science program in the Yakima Valley. During this tenure, she secured a $250,000/year grant, developed STEM based leadership and job shadow programs, significantly improved program performance, and was recently elected as the president-elect of the Washington State TRIO Association. Stassia earned two Cougar degrees holding a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Keri LobdellTRIOS, Student Success SpecialistEast email@example.comKeri Lobdell graduated from Park High in Livingston, Montana and received her AA from Columbia Basin College where she was a participant of the TRIO program. She earned her BA in Social Sciences from Washington State University with a focus on Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology and went on to earn her MS in Psychology with an emphasis in Sociology. She has worked for CBC and Washington State University Tri-Cities in the areas of student success, engagement and leadership development.
Maria LopezTRiO Program Assistant East firstname.lastname@example.orgMaria Lopez graduated from Kiona Benton High School and received her AA from Portland Community College. She is a past participant in both CAMP and TRIO Student Support Services (Maria was part of the first TRIO cohort here at WSUTC). She earned her BA in Social Science from Washington State University with a focus on Psychology, Women’s Studies, and Anthropology. Prior to becoming TRIO’s Program Assistant, Maria worked with the Pasco School District as a bilingual para-educator.
