Apply through this portal for laboratory access. The application process consists of four steps.

1) Check that your professor or supervisor has filed a project safety assessment request that lists you as one of the persons working on this project.

2) View the safety presentations and videos specified below and receive any necessary training on the safe use of machinery as directed by your supervisor.

3) Fill out the Access Request Form and upload it in this application, but only if a lab key or access code is needed. Students in an Undergraduate Class Laboratory do not need any lab key or access code, hence they do not need to submit this form.

4) Fill out and submit the application form given below

Note that "Undergraduate Class Laboratory Access" signifies access during regularly scheduled class laboratory time when the class instructor is present. If lab access is needed outside of regularly scheduled class time, please select "Undergraduate Laboratory Access for Class or Other Project Completion".

Next, upload your laboratory access form signed by you and your professor or supervisor. This is only required if lab keys and/or access codes are needed. Students in an Undergraduate Class Laboratory do not need any lab key or access code, hence they do not need to submit the laboratory access form.

Please, note the following stipulations.

  • Students should heed their professors' / supervisors' laboratory access recommendations
  • Students should adhere to all safety policies
  • All information required in this form should be submitted to foster swift processing
