This year, WSU Tri-Cities & CBC’s Career Services are teaming up to bring you a virtual Career Fair experience through the Handshake platform. Handshake can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection. For optimal performance, including minimizing any errors while chatting with employers, use a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam to participate in the Career Fair.   Employers and students will have the ability to sign up for  Group Sessions and  One-on-One sessions to recruit for and or learn more about  full-time, part-time, and paid internship and job opportunities. 

The Virtual Career Fair through the Handshake platform will have Employer Info Sessions and One-on-One Sessions with live video and chat features.

Preparing for the Career Fair

Below are some resources on how to prepare yourself for the upcoming virtual career fair on Handshake.


  • All participating students must have an account on Handshake
    • If you do not have a Handshake account, please create one with your .edu email address.
  • Complete your Handshake profile and upload your resume
  • Review participating employers before the day-of the event and sign up for your preferred time slots
  • Contact Career Services at for any questions or if you need help preparing for the Career Fair.  


  • All participating company representatives must have an account on Handshake.
  • Sign-up for time-slots and session types (Group Info Session and One-on-One Employer to Student Session)

About WSU Tri-Cities

About the Career Fair

The 2019 WSU Tri-Cities Career Fair will take place on Thursday, October 3rd from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Fair is open to WSU students, alumni, and the general public. Employer check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. with all booths set-up by 9 a.m.

Exhibition details are included below:

  • Employer booths will be located in two buildings: the Student Union Building (SUB) and the Consolidated Information Center (CIC).
  • Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own tablecloths, extension cords, promotional materials, signage, tape, etc.
    • A black tablecloth may be requested at no additional cost.
    • Access to electrical outlets is limited, please request if required for your booth.
  • All registered attending representatives will be emailed a Career Fair Schedule and Career Fair Logistics including hotel accommodations, directions to campus, a campus parking map, check-in instructions, Career Fair policies, amenities, and programming.
  • Companies who register by September 26th will be listed on all printed materials and event handouts.
  • Curbside assistance is not available.
Registration Fee & Policy
Registration Fee: $100
Deadline: September 26th
The fee for any registration received after 5 p.m. on September 26th will be $125.
Registration Policy

Registration Policies:

  • All registrations subject to approval.
  • Once approved, a confirmation email will be sent directly from Career Services.
  • Unpaid registrations will be canceled fifteen (15) business days prior to the event.
  • An event invoice may be provided upon request on a case-by-case basis only.
  • No refunds will be issued for any reason.

Late Registration Policy:

For late registration availability, please contact the Career Services Office at 509-372-7600 or email us at

  • Online registration not available at 5 p.m. September 26th.
  • Approved late registrations will complete a hard copy Registration Form.
  • Late registration will be subject to space availability and is not guaranteed.
  • Company will not be included in Career Fair printed materials or handouts.
  • Lunch may not be available for late registrants due to catering capacity for expected headcount. If registering after the deadline, please inquire whether lunch is still an available option or make your own accommodation for a meal.
What You Will Receive With Your Registration
  • One 6×6 area only. An additional booth space may be requested on the registration form at an additional cost if more space is needed.
  • One table and two chairs. One additional chair may be requested at time of registration at no additional cost. Booth seating is limited to a maximum of three chairs total.
  • One complimentary lunch. Additional lunches may be requested through the registration form at an additional cost. Changes or additions will be accepted until September 26th.
  • A hospitality room with complimentary snacks and refreshments.
  • Access to interview rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • An online job board to post current job and internship openings.
  • Access to an electrical outlet. Must be requested on registration form.
  • Access to wireless internet. Log in instructions will be provided at your booth.
