DESCRIPTION:Children’s Event to Celebrate Martin Luther King \nTwo Seattle based “celebrities\,” Reagan Jackson\, an international educator and community organizer by day and an artist and author by night\, and vocal performer Felicia Loud\, the Northwest’s premier soul singer\, will help celebrate a Martin Luther King Jr. event for children at the Richland Public Library. \nBeginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday\, January 18\, children ages 3 through 12 and their parents are welcome to the Doris Roberts Gallery Room of the Library to learn more about Martin Luther King Junior\, listen to Reagan Jackson explain and read from her new book\, Coco LaSwish: A Fish from a Different Rainbow\, and then enjoy the soulful musical talents of jazz singer Felicia Loud. \nThe program\, which ends at 1 p.m.\, is hosted by the African American Community Cultural and Educational Society (AACCES)\, the Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation and the Friends of the Library.
