The exhibition is inspired by the students’ experience during an artist retreat at the Meyer’s Point Environmental Field Station\, located on the western shore of Henderson Inlet in Washington state. \nThe exhibition will be open to the public April 15 – May 9 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays. \nExhibition is coordinated by fine arts student Norma Aguirre and curated by professor of fine arts Peter Christenson. The exhibit\, Load the Reactor: A Study for the New Nuclear\, opens Sept. 4 at the Art Center in the Consolidated Information Center on the WSU Tri-Cities campus and runs through Feb. 27\, 2026. \nA free public opening will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday\, Sept. 4 at WSU Tri-Cities in the Art Center and will feature talks by curator Rachel Allen of the Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC); Bruce Hevly\, professor of history at the University of Washington; and Jay Needham\, artist and professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
