THE STCU Summit will be held on October 13\, 2018. SUMMARY:UndocuQueer Conference
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 UndocuQueer Conference will be held on Saturday\, Oct. 13\, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the WSU Tri-Cities Student Union Building. \nPlease join us for this annual event that illuminates the intersections between LGBTQ+ identities and immigration status. The deadline to register is Monday\, Oct. 8. \nArmando Ibañez will be the keynote speaker at this year’s conference. Ibañez is a filmmaker and activist who is involved in the LGBTQ and immigrant rights movements. Currently\, he is the director and writer of the online series “Undocumented Tales\,” a story that follows the journey of a Mexican undocumented and queer server living in Los Angeles. \nThe UndocuQueer conference is sponsored by the WSU Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center (GIESORC)\, Multicultural Student Services\, the Crimson Group\, and the University of Washington’s Samuel E.
