SUMMARY:DOE Speakers Series - Hanford Waste Treatment Plant
DESCRIPTION:Jason Young from DOE Office of River Protection will discuss the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Mission to immobilize waste into glass\, with a focus on the Direct Feed of waste to the Low Activity Waste Facility. He will also discuss how the Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW) approach will enable treatment operations as soon as 2022\, and the cooperative efforts needed to support DFLAW operations.
