SUMMARY:Career Development:  Student Employee of the Year Recognition
DESCRIPTION:As part of the National Student Employment Week\, the Career Development office will provide an opportunity for on-campus employers to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who are employed through campus departments while attending college.  Winners will be featured on campus digital displays during the week of April 10-14 and invited along with their nominators to attend the Student Leadership Banquet on April 28th for an awards ceremony. \nStudents who have worked in the current academic year 2016-2017 are eligible to be nominated. SUMMARY:Junior Writing Portfolio Timed Write
DESCRIPTION:The Junior Writing Portfolio is a mid-career diagnostic to determine if students’ writing abilities have advanced in ways that can handle the writing demands of upper-division courses and courses in their major. \nSuccessful completion of the Junior Writing Portfolio during the junior year is a requirement for graduation. To meet the requirement\, students must take a timed essay exam and submit a packet of three graded papers. \nRegistration is required for the timed essay exam.
