DESCRIPTION:Majors and Academic Planning Sessions (MAPS) are held in a group setting and are pre-advisement sessions that are held each semester before priority registration. Academic advisors and faculty mentors lead these workshops and provide registration information and schedule building tools so you will make progress toward meeting your graduation requirements. \nPriority registration begins April 10. SUMMARY:Stress Management & Communication Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Academic Advisors partner with the Counseling Services to host workshops to support all students at WSU Tri-Cities. \nThe Stress Management & Communication workshop is designed to give students tools to deal with internal and external stressors. We will cover strategies to mitigate stress and provide practical application of the concepts that we cover. We will also discuss the role that communication plays in both stress management and success planning. We will discuss topics such as identity\, giving and receiving feedback\, and asking for help. The workshop will be interactive and include group activities and discussion\, led by Aphrodite Beidler\, a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State. \nRegistration is not required.
