SUMMARY:Industry Tours
DESCRIPTION:This Career Development Center event exposes students to real workplace environments with real people doing real jobs and assists with their career pathway. \nThis one-day tour will provide students with a glimpse of careers within their major and a behind-the-scene tour of six high level\, local companies in the Tri-Cities.  Registered students will meet on the WSUTC campus and transported in a rental van to participating partner industries. \nTours are divided into three groups (majors) consisting of Engineering\, Sciences\, and Liberal Arts/Business.  Students will register on a first-come\, first-serve basis.  Space is limited so register early.  Register at Career Development Office\, West 140. \nThis event is open to current WSUTC students (in all majors).

SUMMARY:College Planning Day
DESCRIPTION:High school students are invited to attend in-depth presentations from colleges and universities throughout Washington state. Teens and parents will get answers they need to make educated choices about the future. The day will include presentations on financial aid and the College Bound Scholarship. \nFourteen higher education institutions are participating: \n\nWSU Tri-Cities and WSU Pullman\nCentral Washington University in Ellensburg\nColumbia Basin College in Pasco\nCornish College of the Arts in Seattle\nEastern Washington University in Cheney\nGonzaga University in Spokane\nHeritage University\nNorthwest University\nPacific Lutheran University in Tacoma\nSeattle University\nUniversity of Washington (Seattle)\, UW Bothell and UW Tacoma\nWalla Walla Community College\nWestern Washington University in Bellingham\n\nCollege Planning Day is an annual\, statewide event organized by the Washington Council for High School-College Relations\, which has the mission to assist Washington students to successfully access and engage post-secondary opportunities \nAdmission is free and RSVPs are appreciated.
