Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical)
Digital Technology & Culture
Humanities, Social Sciences, & Psychology
Earth & Environmental Science
For the first three hours of the first three days of the program in their “Major”, students will engage in experiential learning that focuses on hands-on, relevant, team-based problem solving.
They will also be able to “Explore” careers by introducing themselves to local industry professionals, retired executives, and entrepreneurs.
Students will build upon “College Knowledge” and attend interactive workshops designed to help them find the right college, and increase their awareness of the admissions process and financial aid options.
Using an approach known as Open Space Technology (Unconference), students will have the opportunity to engage with their peers in a format and setting that values participation, collaboration, opinions, questions, answers, and feedback using relevant and thought-provoking topics as a center for discussion.
On the final day, students will attend a fast-paced interactive workshop – “The Power of YOU.” This workshop provides students with cutting edge personal development tools aimed at driving personal best and professional success.
Be introduced to the concept of Personal and Professional Intelligence (PPI)
Be introduced to the value of Emotional Intelligence
Identify their natural style of engagement
Enhance their interpersonal skills
Develop a greater understanding of their strengths and blind-spots
