The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services has formulated a three-year strategic map with an emphasis on enhancing student success, student learning and the overall quality of campus- life for students. The Strategic Map is the product of many hours of intentional, thoughtful work and involvement by Enrollment Management and Student Services professionals, faculty, university staff and students. It provides a “road map” for our continued development as a Division and is the culmination of our collective commitment to fostering dynamic student engagement, research experiences, and community engagement.
The development of this strategic map coincides with the appointment of new leadership within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services, and is one that is imbedded in the Chancellor’s 8 design principles for a 21st century, with particular attention to:

2014 Strategic Goals
In pursuit of achieving the objectives of the strategic map, the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services has identified six goals of prioritization for 2014. The majority of focus and work in 2014 will be surrounding these goals but not exclusive of all the objectives outlined in the strategic map. The specific strategic objectives from the strategic map are referenced by their location on the map.
Goal #1 Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Communications
Priority Leaders: Chris Meiers and Jana Kay Lunstad
Charge: To determine, communicate, implement, measure, and refine a strategic enrollment management and communications plan that results in attaining the most appropriate enrollment for the WSUTC campus as measured in student quality, degree completion, and quantity.

Goal #2 Space and Service Enhancements to Improve Student Life

Charge: To determine and recommend improvements that provide value-added spaces for students and improve the operations of Enrollment Management and Student Services.

Goal #3 Enhance New Student Orientation (D1)

Charge: To determine, communicate, implement, measure and refine value-added services to WSUTC’s new students.
Goal #4 Implement a Student Leadership Certificate Program (D4)
Priority Leader: Allison Rodgers
Charge: To determine, communicate, implement, and measure a co-curricular program of experiences that shape students into well-rounded leaders.
Goal #5 Implement a Staff Development Program (E3)
Priority Leaders: Scott Koopman
Charge: To determine, communicate, implement, and measure a program to enhance the personal and professional development of all employees in the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services that is grounded in the Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Practitioners (www.naspa.org/images/uploads/main/Professional_Competencies.pdf).
Goal #6 Assessment, Accountability, Transparency, and Best Practices:

Charge: To develop and implement a sustainable structure to communicate policies and procedures to external and internal stakeholders in addition to methods to capture and measure outcomes of the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services on an ongoing basis.
