WSU Tri-Cities students may take academic courses that have a specified laboratory requirement. These labs are intended to supplement the lectures and are designed to provide students with real-world experience. Some of the laboratories are field-oriented and others are held in a lab with state-of-the-knowledge equipment and instruments. Still others are computer labs.
Students participating in these organized laboratories may be required to pay special fees for materials and supplies. These fees will be assessed with tuition payment. In addition, certain student lab partners or small work groups may be assigned a secured work drawer for the duration of the semester. Students will be required to wear University-approved protective eyewear and lab coats in most laboratory courses, which can be purchased at the WSU Bookstore or through the Science Laboratory Coordinator.
